Gallery

Located in Havana’s Vedado district, JEFF Art Plus is an independent contemporary art project founded by Cuban artist José Emilio Fuentes Fonseca (JEFF). It is part of a broader creative environment that brings together exhibitions, cultural events, workshops, and encounters between artists and the public.

For JEFF, the venue is also an integral part of the work and the creative process. It can become a studio, stage, laboratory, meeting point, or site of experimentation, adapting to the needs of each project.

One of JEFF Art Plus’s central aims is to create opportunities for emerging artists and new voices. Inspired by the opportunities and support that shaped his own development, JEFF seeks to pass that spirit on to a new generation through exhibitions, collaborations, and an annual artist residency. Each year, an artist based outside Havana is selected to develop a project with support that includes accommodation, a stipend, materials, and guidance throughout the process, with the opportunity to present the resulting work at the gallery.

More than an exhibition venue, JEFF Art Plus is conceived as an open and constantly evolving environment, where artists from different generations can meet, experiment, exchange ideas, and contribute to a living contemporary art community in Havana.
